THE APA FORMAT

Last week was the week of APA FORMAT. We had an activities about it. The activities goes like this: in each four group much have representative to get the information of a given references. Then, it was posted on a manila paper in APA format.

In our group, we were so happy to know that we got the highest score. Then, we ended the day with an assignment on referencing in APA FORMAT.

On the next meeting, we were informed that submitting the index card of our were extended. Our teacher let us defend our thesis statement to make it more strong. On my part, I was able to come up with a more assertive statement.

A group assignment was given to us. It was about the thesis statement. Then, we ended our first week on February.

REACTION PAPER ON THE SONA-STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS 2009 BY PRESIDENT GLORIA MACAPAGAL- ARROYO



The SONA can be summarized into her accomplishments despite the criticisms and her challenges to the presidential wannabes.

Since this is her last term, instead of her scorecard for one year, she enumerated the
long term projects that she started, inherited and finished her during the term together with the policies that she implemented concerning education, environment and economy.

These are important developments because whoever will become the leader next year will be inheriting the benefits or the problems brought by GMA’s legacy.

Lastly, she expressed her belief on the resilience and unity of the Filipinos to weather the storms that may come by in our shores.

I feel that she had done her best.

She said that the Philippines is the country that overcame the global crises brought about by the financial meltdown all over the world.She announced that the administration cut the debt of the government corporations from 15 to 7 per cent and foreign debts from 73 to 32 per cent.She justified her travels by mentioning the economic benefits that she brought home in terms of foreign investments and OFWs who were prisoners in other countries and were given pardon. She reiterated the efforts that she did in order to encourage the overseas pinoys to bring in more remittances for investment.

I do not see anything wrong with this but almost being away most of the time and incurring billions as travel expenses made her a target of criticism. Well, many elective government officials like senators and congressmen were also in their travel junkets but the public were not informed as to the nature of the travel.

As Fidel Ramos had said, it is not the number of travels that matter, it is the result of the travel which is important.

In conclusion, I stand on my opinion that GMA who is known to be a hard worker despite the negative public perceptions had done something which the successor can continue or to drop.Could any one satisfy the taste of the Filipinos?

People just don't see the good side of a certain person. It just, They don't realize that no body is perfect.

finally, I made it.

choosing topic is one of the most difficult part of writing a research paper. Even if our teacher assign a topic,it is still hard to decide what to say about it.

In our class, we are to write a term paper which is related to our field. I find it so hard when I am choosing a specific topic. I had two disapproved topics. Then I realized that I have to take a lot of time to do it.

First, I started in abroad topic which is partnership then I worked on brainstorming to make it specific.Finally, I arrived in a specific topic: formation of partnership.

Making thesis statement out my topic is another thing I have to face off since before our teacher will approve it; we are require to present a thesis statement. Three things register in my mind that I guess readers would be interested to know. These are the legal and practical issue in a business partnership, creating partnership agreement and protecting each partner's interest.

christmas has gone

December 2009

When I am writing this blog, some things come in my mind. this the vacation that had gone. it was very interesting before but then i found it not so fine because of the exam expected this following month.

I got many thing to do in our house to enjoy the vacation but I still have to take glance on my notes.

During this vacation, I haven't enjoy much but I had a short time in my family. we've been to our ancestral home at Binadayan for a days. In this short, I had a memorable time with my family despite the approaching exams.

Unwanted week

When I am writing this blog, two things come in my mind. It is the topic for my term paper and the exam we had.

During the day we presented our term paper topic to Ma’am Deocampo, I felt worried when I found out that I must have a more expandable topic. I have searched for many days to finalize my topic. I even consulted my classmate “Aisah”. Finally, I come up with a topic that goes like this: winding-up business activities of partnership entities.

On the following meeting, someone gave our prelim exam. He informed us that our teacher won’t be around. It was so bad that we don’t have enough time to answer the test since it was consumed by photocopying the questionnaire. The exam was not that hard as I was expecting but it turn to be because of the time pressure.

THE APPLE OF THE EYE OF MY DAD

Every time I scan my modest sister’s picture, I am always reminded of her kindness. She had grown up with meaningful life that I couldn’t even measure how lucky is my mothers for having a daughter like her. A daughter like her is a precious gift to my parents for she always obeys what they want for her. Sometimes, I am zealous of her for she is valued much by them but I realize that it is just their way of showing her appreciation of her goodness.

I could still remember her goodness to me when we were young. She was the little girl whom I used to tell my secrets. Whenever I need her, she is always there for me. She really deserves my salute for her good heart. While I am away from home, she take care of my thing.

Her melodious voice bring her to her to the top. Her voice sound like an angel, so I really admire her. She is really a good singer. Her goodness is miscible with a talent that my father really likes about her. My dad call her 'apple" for she is the apple of his eye.

Apple is a good example of a good person. She has a good heart and pleasing attitude. Every time I teases her, she will just smile without getting mad which simply describe her as humble. No one of those who knows could deny her kindness.

2010 UPDATES

The sensory word bins

It was Tuesday when we had our first meeting for the year 2010. We started the class with the recap of what we have done last year. It was then followed by the introduction of a new topic which is the sensory word-bins. New words was cited which is not familiar to me. It was good that we are given an activity which expand our vocabulary. Before the class ended, announcement of the prelim exam was done. We are also assign to have our next blog about descriptive method of paragraph writing.

Fragments and run-on

The following day, ma'am discussed fragments and run-on sentences. I got a hard times of classifying this from a correct sentences. I just scratched my head whenever I found that my guess is wrong. Finally, I made it before teacher gave our assignment, so I got my confidence that I would be able to answer them correctly. Before the class dismissal, we are instructed that there will be a make -up class this Saturday.


Announcement of the extension of the exam


It was a pretty Saturday when we had our make-up class. During Saturday, I usually have my sleeping habit but I postponed it because of the make-up class. I found it hard ( to got to school in weekend) but I was worrying that ma'am might gave us a latest update about the exam, and I don't want to miss it. Then, I found out that my effort worth it when the extension of exam was announced.
